Date picker dialogue opens twice in react-native-modal-datetime-picker react-native android

I am using react-native-modal-datetime-picker in my react-native project. In android when I select the date from picker the picker dialogue opens again. happens only the very first time I install the application. from next time onwards picker works fine in both android and ios. reference issue in github
